“I think we’re going to see [overdose] deaths climb again,” Nora Volkow, the long-serving director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, told POLITICO. “We can’t afford to focus solely on Covid. We need to multitask.”
“We need to make sure we don’t lose ground,” said Elinore McCance-Katz, Trump’s top mental health official. “I’m worried about it so much so that I’ve spent a lot of my time over the last week addressing the issue.”
