Heartview Foundation is moving forward with renovations on a new facility that will allow the organization to better meet the need for alcohol and drug treatment services. The building at 305 N. 23rd St. in east Bismarck will offer 16 treatment beds and 15 studio apartments. The apartments will fill a need for people with opioid use disorder who often struggle to find sober living housing that allows them to continue their medication-assisted treatment, such as methadone. Heartview has raised $700,000 so far toward a $1.5 million capital campaign launched last year.
