New Webinar: Drug Interactions with Opioids: What Do We Know and What Do We Need to Know?

This June 27 webinar will provide an overview of drug interactions with opioid medications with a focus on methadone and buprenorphine. Epidemiology of opioid misuse and adverse effects, and principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics that underlie drug interactions will be discussed as will examples of adverse drug-drug interactions.

This series of webinar presentations is being presented by the Physician Clinical Support System-Opiates, PCSS-O, sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration and the Center for Substance abuse Treatment. This is part of a grant awarded to the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, American Psychiatric Association, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine/
