Jail Inmates Tell Stories of Addiction in Sheriff’s Heroin Video

prison“There was a former high school prom queen and a young man with aspirations to be a baseball player.

These Porter County jail inmates and others told stories of overdoses, time spent in jail, and the age at which they started using heroin. Most were in their teens. One young woman was 12. They were all from Porter County.

Their stories, as well as those of parents whose children died from heroin overdoses, are featured in a YouTube video, “Heroin: Not a Problem, an Epidemic,” and put out by Porter County Sheriff David Reynolds.”
