AATOD Issues Guidelines for Guest Medication and Using Naltrexone (Vivitrol in OTPs)

The American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD) has recently issued guidelines for guest medication, as patients travel from one opioid treatment program (OTP) to another as a method of stabilizing inter-facility patient travel.

AATOD’s Medications Committee has also developed guidelines for the use of Naltrexone/Vivitrol as a relapse prevention tool in OTPs.
